The COST Action EUPopLink (CA23102) announces a call for applications for Virtual Mobility (VM) Grants. Virtual Mobility Grants support online collaborative activities aimed at strengthening cooperation among EUPopLink partners and advancing the dissemination activities of EUPopLink across participating countries.
Duration and Location
All Virtual Mobilities must be completed by September 30, 2026.
Content and Focus
Virtual Mobility Grants under this call specifically support dissemination-related activities, including the translation and dissemination of the EUPopLink Survey press release in the national language through social media, online communication channels, and relevant national media outlets. It also includes the creation of a national dissemination database containing media contacts, social media communities, and mailing lists, with all outreach activities documented to ensure effective promotion and visibility of the EUPopLink at the national level.
Financial Support
Successful applicants will receive a contribution of up to €500 each, toward:
- The preparation and implementation of dissemination activities.
- The preparation and submission of the required scientific report.
- The overall effort involved in completing the Virtual Mobility activity.
Obligations and Expected Outputs
Applicants must ensure their activity aligns with the focus of this call and results in a tangible contribution. Expected outputs include:
Τranslation and Dissemination of the EUPopLink Survey
- Translation or adaptation of the EUPopLink Survey press release into the relevant national language.
- Dissemination of the translated press release through the applicants’ own social media accounts and other relevant communication channels.
- When publishing content on social media, applicants must tag the official EUPopLink accounts and use the hashtag #EUPopLink.
- Distribution of the press release to relevant national media outlets, with the EUPopLink team (eupoplink@polsci.auth.gr) copied (CC) in all email communications for monitoring and verification purposes.
National Dissemination Database
Applicants should identify, compile, and submit a consolidated dissemination database containing:
- National media contacts, primarily online media outlets, news websites, blogs, and digital publications.
- National social media groups, pages, accounts, and online communities related to populism, Euroscepticism, social issues, and political issues, each with a minimum of 100 members or followers.
- Relevant national mailing lists associated with populism, Euroscepticism, social issues, and political issues.
- The applicants’ own social media accounts used for dissemination activities.
- Supporting evidence demonstrating dissemination efforts and outreach activities.
Reporting and Grant Claims
Within 30 days of completing the activity, grantees must submit the following via the e-COST system:
- A formal claim for the payment of the grant.
- A scientific report to the Action MC detailing the main achievements.
Eligibility
Virtual Mobility Grants are open to:
- Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) and Senior Researchers;
- Applicants must have a research profile that fits the main aim of EUPopLink, studying Euroscepticism and/or populism.
Priorities
Priority will be given to:
- Members of EUPopLink Working Groups (gender balance will also be considered).
- Applicants actively participating in the EUPopLink survey.
- Applicants enrolled in an official research programme (e.g. PhD or postdoctoral level), or employed by or affiliated with a research-performing institution;
Evaluation
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis during the call period. Early application is encouraged. Evaluation will consider:
- The quality and feasibility of the proposed work plan.
- The expected contribution to dissemination, outreach, and survey visibility.
Timeline:
Deadline for application: July 15, 2026, 12:00 PM Brussels time.
Decision process and announcements of results: July 20, 2026.
