By elnes, 10 March, 2026
EUPopLink

The COST Action EUPopLink (CA23102) announces a call for applications for Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) conference grants. YRI Conference Grants are limited exclusively to Young Researchers and Innovators for the presentation of their own work at conferences.

The YRI Conference Grant:

• Serves COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy;

• Supports Young Researchers and Innovators to establish a strong network and increase

their visibility in the research community through sharing their work and gaining knowledge;

• Contributes to increasing the visibility of the Action.

The YRI Conference Grantee receives support for attending and presenting their own work within the scope of EUPopLink at a conference and can establish new contacts for future collaborations.

Content and Focus:

The purpose of the grants is to support EUPopLink in achieving its objectives, while assisting participants’ career development (support young researchers and innovators for presenting their work), and helping establish new and reinforced collaborations. The grants directly supports the participation of a grantee in a conference to present their work.The application should be linked (content-wise) to one of the objectives of EUPopLink (see: https://eupoplink.eu/)

Financial Support:

Financial support for successful applicants may receive up to 1500 Euros per grantee.

A Conference Grant is a fixed financial contribution which takes into consideration the budget request of the applicant and the outcome of the evaluation of the application by the delegated person(s). Conference Grants do not necessarily cover all the expenses related to participating in a given conference. A Conference Grant is a contribution to the overall travel, accommodation, and meal expenses of the selected Grantee.

Post-Grant Obligations: Grantees are required to submit a short report of their experience for the EUPopLink newsletter and provide digital content (posts, photos, or short videos) for the Action’s website and social media channels.

Reporting and claim for payment of the grant:

Within 30 days of completing the activity, grantees must submit the following via the e-COST system:

  1. A formal claim for the payment of the grant.
  2. A scientific report to the Action MC detailing the main achievements of the participation in the conference and planned future follow-up activities.
  3. Documentary evidence of the conference fee amount must be provided by the applicant and in kind, must be archived by the Grant Holder along with the relevant administrative documents.

Eligibility:

• Conference Grants are Open to young researchers and innovators.

• The applicant must make an oral presentation at the conference in question and must be listed in the official event/conference program. The main subject of the oral presentation at the approved conference must be related to the EUPopLink mission.

• The participation of each applicant must be pre-approved by the EUPopLink Grant Award Coordinator.

• The conference must take place no later than June 30, 2026.

• Grantees can perform the mission anywhere in the world (and as long as it serves the purpose of the YRI conference grant).

Evaluation Priorities:

  • Relevance to the specific aims of EUPopLink.
  • Level of active involvement in EUPopLink (e.g. WG membership, newsletter subscription, promotion of EUPopLink in social media platforms).
  • Consideration of gender balance.

Timeline:

Deadline for application:  March 19, 2026, 12:00 PM Brussels time.
